Die Blende lässt sich oft auf 1/3 Stufen genau einstellen:

… 2,8 / 3,2 / 3,5 / 4 / 4,5 / 5 / 5,6 / 6,3 / 7,1 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 …

Die Blende lässt sich manchmal auch in 1/2 Stufen einstellen:

… 2,8 / 3,4 / 4 / 4,8 / 5,6 / 6,7 / 8 / 9,5 / 11 / …

Allerdings würde ich nicht empfehlen diese Zahlen auswendig zu lernen. Allerdings ist es sinnvoll die ganzen Blendenschritte zu lernen.

Wird die Blende um einen ganzen Blendenschritt (vollen Blendenwert) verändert, führt dies wiederum zu einer Verdopplung oder Halbierung der Lichtmenge, je nachdem, in welche Richtung man sich in der Reihe bewegst.

Die Blende f1,4 lässt beispielsweise halb so viel Licht auf den Sensor wie die 1 und doppelt so viel wie die 2.

Jeder Öffnungsweite der Blende ist eine Blendenzahl zugeordnet. Die Blendenzahl errechnet sich aus dem Quotienten aus Brennweite des Objektivs und dem wirksamem Blendendurchmesser. Was heißt jetzt wirksamer Durchmesser? Man spricht hier strenggenommen nicht wirklich von dem Durchmesser der Blendenöffnung. Da das Objektiv dazu in der Lage ist, wie eine Lupe die Lichtstrahlen zu bündeln, bevor es diese an die Blendenöffnung weiterleitet, scheint es so, als sei die Blendenöffnung um einiges größer, als sie eigentlich ist! Und was heißt Brennweite? Wenn ein Fotograf von der Brennweite spricht, so meint er den Abstand zwischen der Linse und dem Punkt, an dem die Linse all die aufgefangenen Lichtstrahlen konzentriert – ihrem Brennpunkt. Wir werden im nächsten Modul noch auf die Brennweite und ihre Bedeutung zu sprechen kommen. Im Zusammenhang der Blende reicht es erstmal zu wissen:

Brennweite / wirksamer Blendendurchmesser = Blendenzahl.

Hier sieht man schön den Einfluss der Blende auf die Schärfentiefe. Mal unabhängig vom Einfluss des Getränks auf den Fotografen ;-)

Mit höheren Blendenzahlen nimmt auch die Schärfentiefe zu.

Die Blende hat den größten Einfluss auf die Schärfentiefe. Neben der Blende hängt die Schärfentiefe allerdings noch von drei weiteren Faktoren ab:

die Distanz zur Fokusebene; je geringer die Distanz zum Fokuspunkt , desto kürzer fällt die Schärfentiefe aus.
eine lange Brennweite bringt eine kleine Schärfentiefe und andersrum sorgt die kurze Brennweite für eine große Schärfentiefe.
die Größe des Bildsensors*: Bei gleicher Brennweite und gleicher Blendenzahl verringert sich die Schärfentiefe je kleiner der Bildsensor. Bei gleichem Bildausschnitt und gleicher Blendenzahl (also: gleiche Objektweite, gleicher Bildwinkel, kürzere Brennweite) vergrößert sich die Schärfentiefe je kleiner der Bildsensor.

*Lass dich von Punkt 3 nicht verunsichern. Der Einfluss der Sensorgröße auf die Schärfentiefe ist etwas komplexer. Ich kann dich aber beruhigen. Das muss man sicher nicht im Detail verstehen, um tolle Fotos zu machen.
